I love this time of year!/Cincinnati Family Photographer

Fall, my favorite time of year. Beautiful colors, perfect weather, wind blowing, leaves falling, I love all of it. I am lucky to live in such a beautiful place, where the landscape turns into a colorful blanket of beautiful oranges, yellows, and reds for a few weeks each year. Though I hate what comes next, the bitter cold winter, there is something so poetic about watching the seasons change. Change is a crucial part of life though sometimes I find myself brutally afraid of it... I am slowly learning I must embrace change, to appreciate it, and to even be inspired by it. The more I allow myself to change the more I allow myself to grow as an artist and a person.

These are from a session I did last weekend at Devou Park in Covington. I loooove this park, especially this time of year. The leaves provide a wonderful backdrop to fun fall portraits. This is a friend of mine from high school, Erica. One more reason you really gotta love Facebook. I haven't seen her in years, but through Facebook we were able to keep in touch and even schedule a photo session! I really had a great time with you and your family Erica. Chloe is such a doll. I hope you guys love these as much as I do!

Cincinnati Family Portraits

This family is too sweet, I was glad to finally have the chance to photograph them. We started out with the group pictures. I think is important to do these first while we have everyone's attention when there are four kids involved.   After the "family portrait" we let the kids run around the park while I photographed them playing and interacting with each other. I love the way these pictures turned out. They all looked so good in their matching outfits. Katie you did such a great job picking them out.

Travis and Treenah Part Three/Cincinnati Wedding Photography

Here is a little more from Travis and Treenah's beautiful fall wedding. The ceremony was held at 12 mile Baptist Church in California, Ky. This church is the perfect ceremony venue because of its timeless steeple and natural backdrop.

After the ceremony we headed  across the river to the Cincinnati Museum Center. Since Travis is a chef, who once worked for the museum, I knew the food would be outstanding.  I was right, sooo good!   The staff, who are all close friends of the couple, prepared a beautiful dinner and were pleasant to work with. Thanks you for the wonderful time!

Something I have always loved about the greater Cincinnati area is how diverse the landscape is. You can be in the country with wild turkeys running around one minute then drive 10 miles or so to end up in the hustle and bustle of the city.  It gives you lots of options when planning your wedding.

I am having such a hard time choosing what pictures to post, I love all of them! Check out the portfolio section of my website soon, I have a feeling you will be seeing a lot of these two there.

The Three Stoodgies/Cincinnati Family Photographer

Kegan looked so sweet all by himself, I want to do this one again without the cars in the background

Gage loving the leaves
Eli is most likely plotting what he will get into next...

Our attempt at getting them all in a picture, the out takes of this are so great!

Its official, October has been my busiest month so far. I have been booked pretty much every weekend this month, gratefully enjoying every minute of it. The weather has been unbelievable and I plan on taking advantage of it while it lasts.

Earlier this week I had a day open so I called my sister to see if she wanted to do a mini session with the nephews. Of course she said yes and ran out right away to get the boys matching outfits. I love what she came up with, she always dresses them so cute, like little men. There is nothing like a one year old in an argyle sweater vest to make you smile.

I will be the first to admit shooting my nephews is always my biggest challenge. I think it's because I want to play as much as I want to shoot. They are so stinking cute. I want to squeeze them and give them kisses rather than take their picture. Its great practice and we always end up with something super cute, though it never turns out the way we plan.

The oldest nephew Austin isn't in these because he is now a teenager and a little too cool for my camera. Next time I am forcing him to join in, I am pretty sure we can find a sweater vest in his size too!

Travis and Treenah Part One/Cincinnati Wedding Photographer

Treenah told me she loved how much I said "I'm so excited" when we did a walk through of her venue before her wedding. I couldn't have been more sincere when I said those words over and over to her that day. I knew this was the perfect wedding to really showcase my style and I was grateful to be given such an awesome opportunity to photograph it. Since I am just starting out, without a lot to show wedding wise, I really have to rely on people trusting I will do a good job.

Thanks for believing in my work Treenah, especially after only seeing a few of my images. Thanks for singing my praises whenever you talked about my photography to all of your friends. You and Travis are a beautiful couple both inside and out, I had a blast at your wedding, I can't wait to show you more...
