Meet my newest nephew Kegan

Meet Kegan, the newest member of the Barhorst clan.  My sister went into labor this morning and had him this afternoon.  He is named after the entire family...K.evin, E.li, G.age, A.ustin, N.ina.  How cute is that!  His middle name is Dale after my Dad.  It was so sweet seeing my Dad's face when she told him he was named after him, I think everyone in the room was crying!  Congrats on another healthy little boy Nina and Kevin.  Official newborn pics coming soon.....

Nina's Maternity Session

My sister Nina and I are a little over a year apart in age.  We were always very close growing up and as adults our bond has grown stronger.  Though we both have a lot going on in our lives, it is always so nice when I get to hang out with her and her family.  She is nine months pregnant with her fourth boy and she couldn't look more beautiful to me.

Fathers Day Session

Kris is a very old friend of mine from my teenage years working at Chuckie Cheese. We recently caught up with each other through Facebook.  I hadn't seen her in over 10 years, man how time flys.  She wanted to book a photo session for her sons Brayden and Bryce with their dad Bret for Father's Day.  Bret has an awesome motorcycle they wanted to use for the shots, what a great idea!  It was so cute seeing how much the boys looked up to their Dad.  They both wore their motorcycle jackets and took pictures on their own "mini"  bikes when we were finished.  What a fun day, it was nice seeing you and meeting your family Kris!

Cincy Fringe Fest

Cincinnati Fringe Festival is scheduled to kick-off on May 26th with CityBeat’s official party at the Jackson St. Underground. The festival will continue through June 6th with 34 productions, nearly 180 performances, more than 150 artists, and some all-new venues.

The Festival is a collaborative organization striving to provide opportunities and exposure to artists who are willing to take a risk. Our artists push the boundaries of the 'norm' and continually experiment with style and content.

During the festival local, regional, national and international artists invade downtown Cincinnati for 11 days of artistic celebration in both traditional and non-traditional spaces. These artists represent a variety of media including theatre, dance, music, poetry, visual art, film and everything between and beyond.(Taken from Cincinnati.com)

I will be showing some of my work in the visual show at this years festival.  The opening is Tuesday May 26th from 6-9 at the Art Academy's Chidlaw Gallery. The Citybeat Kickoff party will a few doors down at The Know immediately after.  Hope to see you there!
