The warped tour hit Cincinnati this past week and I had the pleasure of taking my little sister Livvy for her birthday. When we got there it was down pouring. So today you can see I finally figured out how to pimp my blog a little. Yay!  I have been working on a new website and logo and I am going a bit crazy I have to admit.  I am so indecisive when it comes to design.  I love vintage and modern design so I am trying to combine the two to create a website that represents me and my style.  Decisions, decisions....  Well I have never posted a blog

I was excited to get some girl time with Amanda and her sweet little Mya today. Amanda has been a good friend of mine for about ten years.  She has supported my photography career since my first days in college, a long time ago.....  I absolutely love photographing her daughter Mya.  She is so cute and girly, just like her mommy!Happy Birthday Mya and thanks Amanda!

Lindsay and David were married Saturday evening at Walton Park in Kentucky. Though rain was in the forecast, it turned out being the perfect day for an outdoor wedding.  Lindsay wore a timeless lace dress that looked beautiful on her.  I fell in love with the vintage feel of this wedding and took advantage of the natural surroundings to create images that would reflect that look. Thanks Lindsay

Meet Kegan, the newest member of the Barhorst clan.  My sister went into labor this morning and had him this afternoon.  He is named after the entire family...K.evin, E.li, G.age, A.ustin, N.ina.  How cute is that!  His middle name is Dale after my Dad.  It was so sweet seeing my Dad's face when she told him he was named after him, I think everyone in the room was crying!  Congrats on another

 My sister Nina and I are a little over a year apart in age.  We were always very close growing up and as adults our bond has grown stronger.  Though we both have a lot going on in our lives, it is always so nice when I get to hang out with her and her family.  She is nine months pregnant with her fourth boy and she couldn't look more beautiful to me.

Cincinnati Fringe Festival is scheduled to kick-off on May 26th with CityBeat’s official party at the Jackson St. Underground. Today was another beautiful day in Cincinnati.  Everything is starting to come back to life after a long winter.  The thing I love most about this area is the river and all of the quaint little towns along it.   I was fortunate to spend the day in one of these towns,Ludlow, KY today.  I had a shoot with my friend's nephew, AJ.  Though he was shy at first, he opened up within minutes off we went!

Today was a beautiful day.  I think it is finally safe to say warm weather is here to stay.  Dave and I took our dog Cid for a long walk along the flood wall in Dayton, Ky.  Though we haven't lived in Ky for over six years, we always find ourselves going back whenever the weather gets nice.  We both grew up in Dayton so there is a memory around every corner.  I cant believe what a mess it is

Yesterday was a great day!  The weather was beautiful, I think Spring is finally here. My family all got together for my nephew Eli's first birthday.  It was nice hanging out with all of the kids and seeing everybody.  My sister  Nina always looks so beautiful when she is pregnant.  This is a good thing considering she has been pregnant for the past three years!

Yesterday I did a practice Senior shoot with Natalie, my step sister.  I am thankful to have so many pretty girls in the family to use as models.  I will be shooting her real Senior portraits when the weather gets warmer, so it was fun throwing ideas around.

Today I got to spend the day with my youngest sister, Livvy.  We either go shopping or do a photoshoot when we are together and it is always a blast!  She is growing into a very beautiful young woman, I am lucky to have such a wonderful model to practice on.  Thanks Liv!

Yesterday I went to my sister Nina's house to visit with her and her family.  She has three wonderful boys and another on the way.  It is never a dull moment at their house.  Laughing, running, falling, hitting, crying, boys!  This picture of Gage, her three year old eating cereal cracks me up.  He is already guarding his bowl like someone might try to take it.

Dave and I spent last Monday checking out the Contemporary Art Center.  An artist named Tara Donovan has a magnificant show going on until May.  I highly encourage everyone to check this out.  It consists of installations and  sculptures made from everything from plastic cups to buttons to scotch tape to stick pins.  She turned these everyday objects into wonderful flowing works of art disguised
